The Game Changer

My Morning Routine | What I do & Why

Let's start with WHY

Life happens fast! Do you ever feel like you are wasting your days? Or Like you can't get anything done? Or you have so many things to do that you end up doing nothing? Paralyzed by the worries and demands of the day? Trust me when I say, I know exactly how you feel.

So let me ask you, what is your morning routine? On my most unproductive days, my morning routine consists of hitting snooze about ten times, then finally getting out of bed and managing whatever the day throws at me.

One day, I googled "How to be productive" (Because google has all the answers, right?). I came across a video about how to have a morning routine and eventually implemented it into my daily routine.

I am excited to tell you about this morning routine and how it has helped me, and how it can help you too!

And before you say, "I don't have enough time in the morning for a morning routine", let me stop you because you can do this at anytime and anywhere. To be honest, I do mine at work when I have a little downtime! I know that if I make time for my morning routine, everything else I need to do will get done.

Now for the exciting stuff :)

Some of the most successful people in the world swear by having a morning routine. This routine prepares you to take on the day ahead with ease. Rather than throwing yourself into the chaos, give yourself some time to get your mind right. This routine could be as short as 15 minutes and long as an hour. I like to set aside 30 minutes personally.

See for yourself if your day feels better with this morning routine!

My Morning Routine

Silence:

I tend to do one or two of the following:

-Be still and bring your attention to your breath. Deep Breaths for 1 - 2 mins. (Set timer)

-Pray for friends & Family

-Write 5-10 Things I am grateful for (they can be as simple as your bed).

Affirmation:

I usually remind myself of who I am in Christ and/or look up affirmations on Pinterest. As I write the affirmation I say it out loud to speak it into action.

For example, I affirmed that 'I will have a breakthrough in my business' because I was feeling unmotivated, and I DID have a breakthrough with my business and felt re-energized after speaking that over myself.

Examples:

  1. I am enough.

  2. I am completely loved by God.

  3. I am completely forgiven.

  4. God is in my favor.

  5. Great opportunities come easy for me.

  6. I make healthy choices.

  7. I am closer to my goal each day.

Visualization:

I usually just write out my day in my planner. I write 3 major things I would like to accomplish to make my day a success: like Workout, edit my Youtube Video, and do Morning Routine. This allows me to plan out what I want to get done, and make a schedule for myself to be productive.

Exercise:

I actually don’t do this the way it is taught, I just write down what time I will workout and write out my workout. But I would go for a short walk outside if you have the time, or do some stretching.

Read:

I usually read the Bible. It may be a whole chapter, a few chapters, or just a paragraph. Read what you find helpful and inspiring!

Scribe:

After my Bible reading/study, I write out what verses stuck out to me and why. I also write out how I can apply the verse to my life, and a prayer. You could write reflections, how you are feeling, write about what you read, or use it as your time to journal your thoughts.

Note: Feel free to adjust the morning routine to your liking :)

NOW GO! Go and conquer your day with less stress and more clear direction!

Hope you have a great one! Sending positive vibes your way! Don't forget to share how it went and share this with a friend who needs it!
